Trip Preference
In select zones, Trip Preference helps personalize the delivery offers shown to you.
How it works
With Trip Preference, you can choose the types of offers you like to receive the most. Your preferences, along with other eligibility factors, will help match you with more of the offers you want. You’ll still get a mix of offers based on demand, availability, and timing. You can keep choosing the offers that work best for you without rejected offers counting against you.
Trip preferences are meant to help personalize offers shared with you. They are not intended to change the earnings amount of an offer.
Offers are not guaranteed and may change daily based on offers available in your area. As a driver on the Spark Driver™ app, you are free to choose which offers to accept or reject. There is no minimum requirement.
To set your preferred trips, you can:
- tap Preferences on the Home screen.

- move the sliders left or right for each offer type.

- tap APPLY to save your selections.
How preferences work
The Spark Driver platform may use your activity to help personalize the types of offers that may be relevant to you.
There are two types of preferences:
- Explicit preferences are what you actively choose as a trip preference.
- Learned preferences are patterns that the platform picked up from your delivery history over time.
A new explicit preference may have more influence at first, but the platform also considers the offers you accept over time. If your trip preference differs from your acceptance activity, the offers you see may gradually align more closely with the offers you accept. This shift is gradual—not an immediate reset, a change on a set date, or a permanent override. Your explicit preference remains an important signal, but it does not determine every offer you receive.
