Overview

A driver's confirmed earnings are sent to their primary earnings account. They can choose to get their earnings through OnePay Cash or direct deposit.

  • If they choose OnePay Cash, their confirmed earnings will be sent to their earnings account as “fast funds.”
  • If they choose direct deposit, their confirmed earnings will be sent on a weekly basis.
  • If a valid earnings account is not linked to their Spark Driver account, any outstanding disbursements will be sent by mail to the address listed in the driver's account.
    • Checks mailed to the driver may take a few business days to arrive, depending on where they live and the postal service in their area.

  • Note: Not having a linked earnings account can lead to account deactivation.

    Tips:

    Customers can adjust tips after a delivery has been completed. A driver will see Confirmed Tips in the Earnings tab once the tip has been processed, which generally takes 24 hours.

    Incentive Program earnings:

    A driver can tap Earnings in the app to view incentive details and their earnings history.

    If it's been a week and a driver hasn't gotten their incentive earnings, they can tap CHAT NOW in the app menu for help.

    If an offer was accepted by a driver then canceled by the store or customer after the driver has arrived, the driver will get earnings for arriving at the store on time. These earnings are effort-based, which means the driver could be eligible to get more based on where they were on the trip when it was canceled.

    For issues with a particular trip, a driver can share their concern in the Spark Driver™ app by tapping Report Issue.

    Drivers can see their earnings by day, week, or trip in the Earnings tab of the app.

    Yes. Drivers keep 100% of the tips from customers.

    No, taxes are not withheld. A driver can review their tax information in the Spark Driver™ account and will get a 1099-NEC tax statement at the end of the year that can be used to file their taxes.

    Earnings are calculated based on a variety of factors, like distance, estimated time to the drop-off location, order size, and extras (apartment deliveries, heavy items, and bulky items).

    Confirmed earnings for incentives will be processed either 24 hours after the driver completes the required number of trips, or 24 hours after the incentive period has ended. Incentives that are completed and processed before Sunday at midnight are sent the following Tuesday by 8 pm Pacific Time. Once either of these criteria are met, a driver can go to the Earnings tab in your Spark Driver™ app to see an itemized breakdown of the incentives they received.

    There are a variety of standard incentive offerings to make it easier for all drivers to increase their earning potential on the Spark Driver™ platform.

    Lump Sum Incentives– This baseline incentive type offers eligible drivers one defined incentive earning for completing a set number of trips.

    Example: Complete ten trips between X/XX – X/XX and earn an extra $30.

    Tiered Incentives– Include a series of lump sum incentives in increasing tiers, giving a higher total earning opportunity for each following tier.

    Example: Complete four trips to earn an extra $20, six trips to earn an extra $20, or eight trips to earn an additional $35.

    Earn-Per-Trip Incentives– This incentive provides an extra earnings amount upon completion of a single trip.

    Example: Earn an extra $5 for each trip completed after 4 PM today.


    OnePay

    OnePay is a financial app that offers "OnePay Cash" accounts for demand deposit accounts, commonly known as checking accounts. It's available to eligible drivers on the Spark Driver platform. OnePay helps you save, spend, and grow your money—all in one place.

    A driver can log into their Spark Driver™ account, tap on the Earnings tab to manage their earnings account, and tap on the option to APPLY FOR ONEPAY CASH to continue.

    The first week a driver activates their OnePay Cash account, their earnings will be sent on the Monday of the next earnings period.After their OnePay Cash account is set up and activated, their trip earnings are sent after every delivery.

    A driver can contact OnePay Support directly for issues with their OnePay Cash account.

    Direct Deposit

    Direct deposit lets a driver get funds directly into their personal bank account. It uses an electronic network called the automated clearing house (ACH) to digitally transfer funds between financial institutions.

    With a direct deposit account, a driver's trip earnings are sent every Tuesday, and can take up to three days to show in your account. Depending on a driver's financial institution's availability policy, it may take extra processing time for their earnings to show in their account.

    The Spark Driver app will let a driver link most major financial institutions for direct deposit, but there is not a list of all accounts that are eligible for ACH transfer.

    To sign up for direct deposit, a driver can link their account information by tapping:

  • More (iOS) or Menu (Android).
  • Account.
  • Earnings Overview
  • Manage Earnings Settings
  • LINK BANK ACCOUNT.
  • Due to security controls, a driver has a limited number of attempts to link an account. If a driver can't link their account, they may need to confirm their financial institution's details carefully or use a different earnings method.

    After successfully setting up direct deposit, future earnings will be sent to the driver's earnings account every Tuesday.

    A driver can change their linked bank account after it is set up, but this change won't be reflected until the next earnings period which begins on Monday each week.
