Shopping for items out of sequence

The Spark Driver™ app shows items in an optimized order for easy store navigation, but you can shop for items in any order you like.

After you arrive at the store, it can be helpful to review the Shopping List screen.

You can:

  1. Tap START SHOPPING to show the suggested first item to collect based on the optimized shopping list.
  2. Tap the back arrow to go back to the Shopping List screen to enable you to choose a different item. 

The optimized shopping list is available to you throughout your trip.

  1. Return to this suggested order by tapping RESUME SHOPPING at the bottom of your Shopping List screen.

Because the shopping path shown in the app is optional, you can shop items out of sequence to give yourself the flexibility to shop the way you want. If you choose to shop out of sequence, here are a few helpful tips:

  • It may be best to shop for temperature-sensitive items such as chilled, frozen, or hot foods at the end of the trip. If too much time passes between shopping for these items and the estimated delivery time, the order may be canceled due to concerns regarding food or product safety.
  • You can provide a substitution or indicate an item is out of stock by tapping RESUME SHOPPING on your Shopping List screen to redisplay the optimized order sequence on the app. From there, new selections can be chosen.
