About tips
Weekly earnings can be viewed in the Earnings tab, which shows confirmed earnings from service offers, as well as tips and incentives. Base earnings may vary based on factors like distance traveled or order size.
Customers may tip before or after a service is completed for some offer types. Most tips are provided through the app, but customer may also choose to provide cash tips. You receive 100% of confirmed customer tips.
The estimated earnings shown on an eligible offer card may include any pre-tips.
Tips are separate from:
- Base earnings
- Incentive earnings
- Rewards
Viewing tips
You can view tip information on the offer card, trip receipt, or Earnings tab.
Depending on the processing status, tips may appear as:
- Unconfirmed tips: tips that are pending or processing.
- Confirmed tips: tips that have been processed, which generally takes up to 24 hours after delivery.
Pre-tips
A pre-tip is a tip added by a customer before a service is completed.
The pre-tip may appear on eligible offer cards as Estimated tip and in your earnings details.
- Customers have up to 3 hours after a service is completed to add or reduce a pre-tip.
- Pre-tips show on the offer card within the app.
- Pre-tip changes won't appear in your Confirmed earnings until up to 24 hours after the service is completed.
Post-tips
A post-tip is a tip added after a service is completed.
Post-tips may be added after completion and may not match what was shown on the original offer card.
- Customers may have up to 14 days after the service is completed to give a post-tip if no tip amount was originally added.
Processing tips to your earnings account
Tips that are pending or processing are called unconfirmed tips.
- It generally takes up to 24 hours after a service is complete for pre-tips to display in the app.
- If post-tips were confirmed after the week in which they were earned, they are added to your Confirmed earnings the following week.
The Earnings tab allows you to see any changes in your earnings breakdown.
