Delivering Vision Center orders
About Vision Center delivery orders
Vision Center delivery orders are offers available on the Spark Driver™ platform. These orders include sealed bags or packages from participating Walmart Vision Centers.
Depending on the order, the Spark Driver app may include additional verification steps during pickup or delivery, like:
- Selfie verification
- Customer ID verification
- One-time passcodes (OTPs)
- Customer signatures
Vision Center delivery features and requirements may vary by location and order type. The Spark Driver app will show any steps required for the order.
Types of Vision Center orders
Vision Center offers may include:
- Vision Center-only orders: A trip that includes a Vision Center pickup and delivery.
- Vision Center pickup + Shopping & Delivery orders: A trip that includes a Shopping & Delivery order and a Vision Center pickup and delivery.
Identifying a Vision Center order
On an offer in the Spark Driver app, you may see:
- A Vision Center tag on the offer card.
- A Vision Center pickup stop listed in the trip.
Picking up a Vision Center order
Pickup location
Vision Center delivery orders are picked up from the Vision Center inside the store.
Some stores may have a designated Vision Center delivery pickup area. If you do not see a designated pickup area, you can let a Vision Center associate know that you’re picking up a delivery order.
If the Vision Center associate has questions about the order, you can show them the order details in the Spark Driver app.
Pickup verification
Depending on the order, the Spark Driver app may prompt you to complete selfie verification before pickup.
After verification, the app may display a one-time passcode that you can share with the Vision Center associate.
If the one-time passcode doesn’t work, the Vision Center associate may be able to manually enter the 15-digit order ID.
A physical ID isn’t required for Vision Center order pickup.
Scanning Vision Center order labels
If a Vision Center order label doesn’t scan, you can manually enter the label number:
- Swipe up on the Label Scanning screen.
- Tap Printed Label Issue.
- Enter the label number.
If the label number can’t be entered manually, you can ask a Vision Center associate to reprint the label.
Damaged or opened packages
If a sealed bag or package appears damaged or opened before pickup, you can:
- Tap the appropriate option under Package/Bag Issue in the app.
- Let the Vision Center associate know about the issue.
- Ask whether replacement packaging is available.
If you notice that the package is damaged or opened after pickup, you can use Delivery Issues in the app and follow the prompts.
The app may direct you to return the package or contact Driver Support.
Delivering a Vision Center order
Drivers find it helpful to review customer notes before starting their delivery. The app will show any required delivery steps before the order can be completed.
If the customer needs to be available at delivery, you can let them know you’ve arrived by:
- Ringing the doorbell
- Knocking on the door
- Messaging or calling the customer to let them know you've arrived.
Depending on the order, the customer may need to be available to complete one or more verification steps at delivery.
The Spark Driver app may prompt you to:
- Verify the customer’s ID.
- Enter a one-time passcode.
- Have the customer provide a signature.
Customer unavailable during delivery
If the order requires customer verification and the customer isn’t available, the delivery can’t be completed.
Returning a Vision Center order
If a Vision Center delivery can’t be completed, you can start a return trip:
- Tap Delivery Issues in the app.
- Follow the in-app prompts to return the order.
Returning an order when the Vision Center is open
During Vision Center operating hours, Vision Center packages are returned directly to a Vision Center associate.
Other items included in the trip may have a different return location. You can follow the in-app prompts for each return.
For example, Shopping & Delivery items may need to be returned to the store’s designated return area.
Returning an order when the Vision Center is closed
Vision Center operating hours may differ from the store’s operating hours.
If the Vision Center is closed, the app may guide you to return the package to a manager at the Customer Service desk.
The app may prompt you to enter the manager’s name and collect their signature to complete the return.
If needed, you can ask a Customer Service associate for help locating a manager.
